Calling all publishers, publicists, authors, illustrators, PR managers…anyone involved in producing beautiful picture books!

Shrewsbury Bookfest is now ready to launch its PICTURE BOOK AWARD 2018 for key stage 1.  The Picture Book Award project has been set up in response to demand from the education sector in Shropshire, to follow the aims and ideals (i.e. . to generate a love of reading for younger children) of the established KS2 Book Award, focusing on Years 1 and 2 (children aged 6 to 7 years old).

We have 17 primary schools and over 500 pupils across Shropshire signed up to and ready to take part in our PICTURE BOOK AWARD 2018.
