The seventh-born rat of the seventh-born litter is always a rat in want of adventure.
Tilbury is no exception.
He just doesn’t know it yet . . .
The curse of a legendary diamond hangs heavy over the Dockland Rats – and it becomes clear only Tilbury can break the curse and save ratkind from disaster. To carry out his destiny, this timid young rat must leave the comfort of home for the very first time . . .
Tilbury’s quest takes him to new lands, where huge cats and unfamiliar rats rule the streets and skies. Tilbury must risk everything to return the cursed jewel to its rightful owner. . . and along the way, he just might discover what true treasure is.

I liked this book but I feel like the author could have used less pages
I like this book it was fun to make a movie trailer about.
My favourite character was Marmalade Paws because he reminds me of my real-life cat. The book overall was very good. 9.5/10!
The best book in the short-list, 1 million/10. But that is my opinion. I really hoped that Obsidian would not turn bad.
I enjoyed this book because it was a good structure and i liked it very much.
I really liked this book and I thought it was really interesting. Tilbury was a really fantastic character! 10/10
This book was amazing, I really like the idea and think it is super exiting, I would give it a 10 out of 10.
it was so long but when you get used to it it actually gets my head stuck in the book hahahahaha but anyway i’ll give it a 8/10
I thought this was a terrible book. It just went on too long! I would not recommend
3/10
I thought this was a fantastic book and really loved the animals in their cute clothes as well as that i thought Tilbury was really inspiring even though he was rat it made you think about that you might be scared but when you start your adventure its really great if your making a difference.
It was very long and difficult to follow. I give it a 3/10
My first Bookfest book and it was very good. I give it 10/10
I haven’t finished Moon Flight yet but I’m not really getting into it. It has a very confusing storyline that I don’t really understand. I rate this book a 4/10 so far
… we’ll be really interested to hear if this changes, Olivia, and to hearing a further update on what you think of the book. From the Bookfest Team
My favourite character is Tilbury.I really like it.
I didn’t like this book because it took to long to read. I liked this book because I liked the characters.
Moonflight is AMAZING. It has such a great story but some challenging language. It was very unpredictable, a lot happens and is perfect for a reader like me, who enjoys adventure and dark fantasy. For me it is a 10/10 but I understand others may struggle with it, so I shall give it a 9/10.
This is the best book by far. It is one of the best fantasy books ever and it reminds me of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies which are my favourite books and films.
This was my favourite book , I really enjoyed it . It is hard to get going with at the start but as you keep reading you can’t take your eyes of it . It is a great adventure and I would recommend it to people who like lots of action, twist and turns. Don’t be put of by the size of the book, it is amazing. 10/10.
Loved it this was an amazing book and it was a challenge to read which I LOVE. The storyline was great and it was easy to follow.
It was a bit hard to get into but in the end I enjoyed it I would give it 8/10
I do not recommend Moon Flight. It wasn’t a good adventure and I give a 2/10
Good book but not a favourite of mine. The plot didn’t interest me as much as the others. I would give it a 6/10
A very nice book really adventurous but also had good detail and didn’t have
too much pictures or too less pictures.10/10
At the start I had to persevere as it was a bit boring, but the story became more interesting as I moved through the book. I wouldn’t read it again, but some of my class have enjoyed it, so it depends on what you like. I would rate it 5/10.
An amazing plot twist and turn of events. Over all I would rate this book a 9.5/10.
This book grabbed me in then pushed me away constantly and that was when I had enough it just could not grab me and drag me in so if I had to rate out of 10 it would be a 6. I am sorry Gill but it is not … for me.
I do like this book but it could have a faster start. I rate this book a 7/10.
I do like a map at the start and how the title has a shine to it.
I think Moonflight is an amazing book because I never lost interest and it always kept me wanting to read more. It is by far the best book I have ever read 100/100.
I really liked how in the end Tilbury finds out that the Cursed Night is only [SPOILER ALERT] but other rats turn greedy when they look into the diamond.
i don’t like the book only thing i like about it was the adventure how they tried to steal the dimond
Personally this is not my kind of book it bored me and it didn’t make sense at all. But this might be a book for someone else with a different personality to me. A book that I would love you to write is a diary book like ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ or ‘Lottie Brooks’. Personally I didn’t enjoy reading this at all but other people might like this, I just didn’t fancy it.
Moon Flight is about RATS, ratlings Tilbury and Nimble-Quick are heroes, whereas Bartholomew is an interesting character. I think the fabled Cursed Night is what is says on the tin…a curse! I am currently on page 200, so I don’t know how it ends, but I don’t think the curse will be lifted. I would rate it 10/10 but if I could I would give it 9,999,999/10! Happy reading my fellow Dockland Rats 😉
Tilbury has a curious mind but he did not know what lay a head of him from sea shanties to two headed beasts. This little rattling has a big adventure, and someone close to him experiences death’s slippery grasp. It’s full of sadness and curses. I liked this novel if I could give this book over 10/10 I would give 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10
Moon Flight is a very good book because it’s got funky vocab, it’s really imaginative and Tilbury is a great character. I love how he overcomes his fears.
I love Moon Flight and think it is the best book ever because Tilbury is very adventurous. I love the phrase ‘the seventh born rat of the seventh born litter is always a rat in want of adventure.’
(Noah J) I’ve really enjoyed this fabulous tale of rats -and cats- where master Tilbury is “The chosen one.” 8.5/10
(Flynt T) Great book, a little long but achievable. Master Tilbury has an amazing journey. Definitely recommend to long readers when you have the time. 9.75/10
I have read each book, and this is by far the best. One of the greatest books I have ever read, life-changing!!!!
You had to wait a long time for it to get going. I didn’t really enjoy it and it felt like it goes on for ever! 4/10
Moon Flight is …. just about rats in a basement and I don’t recommend and it’s hard to read.
1.4/10
It was a good book but too hard.
It was really good but to hard to read. I really found it hard but somehow persevered. I am very happy I did because I really enjoyed it and the illustration and everything. Over all it was really good.
• I really liked the storyline because the sides kept turning (ie twists and turns in the plot).
• The characters seemed believable – I can imagine rats like that.
• I think Tilbury took the role of a weak boy with a big destiny.
• I think it was a really good adventure book.
• It excited me because it was a mystery/adventure.
• It was fantastic.
• I would recommend this book because [the characters] find lots of different mysteries and challenges to face.
• I would recommend this book to anyone really from 8-12 years.
• I would recommend this book to just about anyone.
