We thought it would be lovely for a whole class to demonstrate their love for one of their favourite stories.

So as a new addition to the Picture Book Award project, we invited classes to enter a ‘Class Response Competition’.

Entry Criteria:

• Classes were invited to submit one response to one of the shortlisted titles.
• This could take any format as long as it celebrated the story and how much the children enjoyed reading it.
• This could be a class display, a class scrapbook, a collective piece of artwork, a song or poem, a film, a re-enaction (live or puppets) etc.!
• Any film entries were limited to 7 minutes in length.

So many classes delivered so many creative responses.  After much deliberation, 3 top winners were chosen…
