This book makes you think about the importance of the little things in life and it opens up a whole new perspective on conflict and the idea of government. BEST BOOK EVER!!!
Personally I think No Country is a really good book, it is a short read but still very interesting and intriguing. I always wanted to read more. The book may come across as a sad story but overall I really recommend this book to others.
No Country is just an amazing book! I could read it for hours because it’s so entertaining and interesting. The book may seem a sad story but it ends out not to bad. Overall this is a good book!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that No Country had a bad ending because it doesn’t tell you what happened, all it says is that the girls run away. I liked the start because it had a bit of action in it.
It is a great book, I just wish it was longer and the other one came out now!
Very good I could not stop reading it.
I enjoyed reading No Country but there was nothing to look forward to. I liked reading this because it is funny.
I enjoyed reading No Country but it didn’t have a good bit to look forward to though. I liked this book because of all the adventure and how curious it is. There were some really good bits but there where some bad bits as well.
I liked this one because of the storyline. It’s interesting and the drawing too, the characters are relatable and the secret of what the dad does for work is interesting the book is great overall.

I love this book as there is a lot about friendship. I can’t wait for the second part
No County was an excellent book which included a lot of adventure. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a short book to read and who would like to try a graphic novel. No County was the first graphic novel I had read and I loved how quick it was to read but I also liked the illustrations as they were very clear to see what was happening in the story.Patrice Aggs and Joe Brady created an amazing book to read and I definitely enjoyed it !

No Country is a very interesting book I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to year 5 and 6.
When I started reading No Country I didn’t really expect much from it but when I got into it, it got exciting and I didn’t want to stop reading. I think the author should make a part two because it is also an easy read.
In No Country there is an exciting plot that makes it whole lot better. It’s not my favourite because its a graphic novel. I would still recommend it to year 5 and 6 but mainly the ones who don’t like reading.
I thought “No Country” was a really gripping story and I was determined to finish it although it was a bit confusing at the start, I was not a huge fan of the ending so I hope there is a part two.
No Country is an incredible story full of heart stopping moments. I was dragged into it and I could not stop reading it. The author should definitely do a part two. I would recommend this to year 5 and year 6.
This is VERY GOOD!!! It was a bit slow at the start but a very exciting ending and an action packed book.
I really like ‘No Country’. It is very good I think that this is the best book out of the books that I have read.
I think No Country is a good book because it’s got lots of details pictures, and easy to read.
I think that No Country was a interesting book, and I suggest it to year’s 5 and 6’s but I hope there is a Part 2 because at the end, where did the dad go? Did he die?
I liked No Country because it was great. The sisters were arguing, one day the family missed there mom and wanted to see her. There was a threat of war. It was exciting to read. I really like the pictures. This was a big book but I finished it quickly. It was a good book you should read it!
I found No Country tricky to get into and it was a quick and easy read and I like how it was showing what warfare would be like now.
No Country is not that good I didn’t really enjoy it if you like war it’s the book for you.
I love No Country because it is a quick read. It has a lot of twisters and it was a new type of book. The book was amazing because their was a twist on every page. It showed you what a modern war would be like and made the characters come to life and it felt so real you feel for all the characters.
This book is an amazing book and I couldn’t put it down and it is just great.
No Country is great graphic novel because it is quick and detailed I love the art. I recommend the book to someone that likes quick and easy.
This book was AMAZING! It was quite hard to get into but eventually I loved it! I was really confused about what was happening and I really didn’t understand it. I loved that it was a graphic novel because it was a really quick and easy read. I really want to know what happens to Bea and her siblings in the end.
No Country is a good book and I really enjoyed the book it was easy to read as well because the words where not hard to read also I liked how it went to a bad start to good start.
I really liked this book because it is all about adventure and you don’t know what is going to happen next. I liked that it was a graphic because it was easier to read quicker and that felt good. I liked the illustration and how if something shocking happened it would write it down in speech marks or bubbles. I would rate it 5/5.
I loved No Country because it was a completely different art style, It was a quick read with twists and turns. I would recommend it to people who like adventure and cliff-hangers.
I am really excited for the second book because I want to know what happened to dad. No Country is also very good because its sort of a mystery.
No Country was difficult to understand at the start, then I started to understand it, then it was hard to understand again. I liked the way it was set out in little speech bubbles because it was easier to read and not in big long pages. I give it a star rating of 3.
No Country is a great book because it shows a family which is split up from the mother. I liked it because it wasn’t like any other book. I liked it being like a comic and the pictures connecting to others. Some parts were sad, some parts were funny. I would recommend this to people who like looking into war.
No Country- is a very good book it was interesting.
I like this book because it is a big book but a comic at the same time it is easy going and interesting to read I didn’t want to put it down it was amazing .
I got really mad when the book was finished because I wanted to know what happened to dad.
I really love this book and so far and it is my absolute favourite one it was also very different because of the graphic novel thing, this should win but I can’t judge yet because I haven’t read Twitch.
No Country is a good and easy book. I love how it evolves the war. I have not read it all yet but I’m very close to the end. I have heard that at the end it says ‘to be continued’ but its quite a good idea to get people reading the next book.
I love No Country it’s such a great book and I really enjoyed reading it. It’s really good I really like comics just like No Country although it’s sad how the people can’t get food and the shop closes down that’s a bit sad. But I would really recommend year 5 and 6 to read it. Well done Patrice Aggs and Joe Brady; it’s great and all my class who have read it love it
No Country is a really good book because there’s loads of twists and turns.
I like the fact that No Country ended on a cliffhanger but I do want to see what happens next.😀
I think No Country is absolutely amazing it has lots of brilliant ideas. I like how it’s so adventurous. I would love to read the next one when it comes out because it was so cool 🙂
I think that No Country is a brilliant story and has lots of amazing ideas. I would definitely recommend No Country for either year 5 or year 6. I would really like to find a Part 2 .
When I read this book I was interested because it reminded me of the world war because there wasn’t really much food and there was only a few people allowed in the store at once and everyone wanted to get food and at the end of the book it says to be continued… and it makes me want to find out what’s happening next
I think No Country is really good because it has lots of cool photos and features. The sound effects in the word form are amazing, the vocabulary is great and so interesting. This should be recommended for lots of people but if I need to pick an age it would probably be 6+. Well done👍
I love No Country because the atmosphere fits very well and there is lots of drama and i like it how it’s adventurous 😊😊😊.🤩 but it’s very sad at the end😥
No Country is a very fun and realistic book and I like that it is a very good comic book and I just make you want to read it more and more
I like No Country because you get engrossed. It’s very adventurous and engaging. I didn’t like it at the end when it said to be continued. But it was an excellent book.
I liked this book because it was full of adventure .I think this is a sad book because they are not with their Mother until the end .I think this book is about trust because they have to trust their Mother will get them away from this war.
No Country is just a mind blower and a heart warmer. It’s sad at some points but yr 5 and 6 can handle it. I think we can all agree we wanted to read more when at the end it said “to be continued…” but I bet it will be even more of a mind blower and heart warmer in No Country 2! Let’s just hope though!

I think this book was really good because there wasn’t much writing and a lot of pictures and I thought that was very good. Also not only that but I thought it was action-packed and full of a lot of adventure. Also it is a book you can read quite quickly because the writing isn’t that big. I think No Country is a really good book.
I like No Country because it feels like you’re there and it was adventurous and engaging. I also like the drama and description.😎😋
No Country is a fantastic book because you want to know what happens next I really felt bad for Hannah because Bea was always on her back. When I started to read the book I got more and more engrossed.
I think that No Country is a brilliant book because it would prepare you if there was another heroic war. I feel sorry for Poppy because her sister keeps spilling her secrets.
I like the No country book because its all about the war and what it’s like to be a refugee.
No Country is outstanding, because it’s adventurous and it ends with a cliff-hanger which makes it more exciting and inspiring. It makes you want to know what happens next. I hope there is a sequel!
This book is outstanding, it’s full of action and adventure and engaged me within a minute. The illustrations in this book are spectacular, you can’t go wrong, the characters in this book are the most fantastic and most funny characters ever. The World War II theme is impeccable with all the action and secrets hidden in it with their parents. This book made me feel so emotional for the children not being with their mum and only eating the same foods slowly starving, I even felt sorry for the dad with all he as to go through being a parent on his own. This book also has such an engaging setting with emotion flying through the air. I believe you should never give up and listen to people you trust just like in the book. I really hope there is a second book.
It is an okay book. I like it because it is a about the army.
I loved it so so much
I thought No Country was a good book. I found the comic style fun because I’d never read a comic! I thought it was a great book.
I loved No Country – it was a comic which I love. The only thing that annoyed me was the to be continued bit at the end.
This is such a good book I loved it! At the end when it says to be continued is a massive cliff hanger. Is there Another one?
I love this book because I love graphic novels and I would also recommend The Small Things
I loved this book and I think it has brilliant illustrations it’s amazing to read and teaches you what a refugee is. It is a heart-warming story my only wish is what happened to their Dad and where did they go? This is a truly amazing book with new words that teach you things every day.
I like the book because it has loads of pictures and less writing.
I loved this book because it was a action-packed and full of adventure I also liked at the end of the book it was left on a cliffhanger. I hope there’s a second book.
I don’t like this book because the book was a graphic novel and I don’t like graphic novels. I also thought there was too much talking and not enough action.
I have read this book and I think that it is really good because it has a lot of mystery and adventure. Also, I like how they are being very sneaky. I find it kind of sad because they can only see their mum on the tablet. My least favourite part is when the army take their potatoes. My favourite part is when the army go in their house and they have to all hide in the wardrobe. I feel like it makes you feel excited because at the end it leaves you on a cliff-hanger.
this book is amazing it is the best book i have read i love how it is about refugs
This was the first graphic novel I have ever read and I enjoyed it. I find it very amusing although it was left on a cliff hanger. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out! 🤞Hopefully it is out soon. I think the books you chose are a great selection.
Happy reading everybody!
I really like it. I couldn’t stop reading. Even though it was set out a bit like a comic you could really understand the story. I hope another one comes out soon.
I really enjoyed this book, it’s a thrilling adventure story and I love how it’s set out like a comic. Once I started reading, I was hooked and couldn’t stop! I hope there is a part two to this amazing book.
No Country was amazing I really got into it even though it was a bit sad at the end. I didn’t want to stop. It’s a win win for me!
It’s a really good read and I’m a huge fan and I would recommend this to slow readers like me
I loved No Country it was a great read! I got really stuck into it. I really want to know what happens next.
I loved this book so much, I would really recommend it to anyone who likes graphic novels or dystopian books. The ending leaves you on such a cliffhanger, I really want to read the sequel when it comes out!
This was the first graphic novel that I have ever read and I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t slow and something was significant was always happening. 🤞 Hopefully there will be a part two soon -I thought it was quite good that it was left on a cliffhanger because it made it more different to other books. I would recommend this book to those who like reading about things that happened in history and things that sometimes happen nowadays like wars.
No Country in amazing in my opinion it was very interesting and the illustrations were amazing but the ending was annoying because it was so interesting at the end but I do want to see what happens next❤️😄👏👌🤪😆😁
No Country was an amazing graphic novel! It was a thrilling and gripping tale. I loved the way the authors got the story across even though it was mostly pictures, I could still tell what was going on in the book. This was an incredible book!
I really enjoyed this book, especially because of the suspense and the theme of it. I definitely recommend it, and I hope there will be a part two soon.
I loved this book and am looking forward to the next book because I want to find out what happens to Bea next.
I really like No Country because the family tries to help each other. My favourite part of No Country is the bit where the children go to the shop and then the army chase them. My least favourite part is when all the children hide in the cupboard. I would recommend the year 5 and 6.
This book is an amazing book personally I don’t like world war books but this one I love it. Very good for years 5’s and year 6’s.
No Country is a good book. I like the war stuff on it. Will there be a Part Two? ❤😊👏😜
Hallie: I really enjoyed No Country and I liked the twists, although I was a bit disappointed at the end but other than that it was a book worth reading.
Poppy: I think No Country was good but, it could have been a better ending.
I loved the graphic novels and the pictures as they show a lot behind the actual story. I don’t always like a graphic novel but this one really impressed me. I would definitely recommend this book
Brooke’s reply: I have not yet finished the book but it is quite intimidating and sort of emotional, but as I said I’m still not finished yet so I definitely recommend you read it!😊🤗
Chloe’s reply: 😀🙃🙂😶😉😃
I really loved the book, love the idea of the comic layout. However the ‘to be continued ending…’ disappointed me, apart from that I love the book – totally recommend. But also on the note of the ‘to be continued’ it is hard for Joe Brady (the illustrator) to produce so many pictures and illustrations maybe that’s why part 2 has not come out yet.
We love this book! The illustrations are amazing and we never thought we would love a graphic novel! I definitely recommend this to all. I cannot wait to read the next book. We didn’t like how they ended on “to be continued”. Although it is a amazing book and it is good for people who do not enjoy reading.
I really liked the story because of the deep, moving, storyline. I think the dad’s character was interesting because he was a nice person but also a secretive man. l also like the fact that it’s a graphic novel.
We really liked this book mostly because it was very easy to follow along with what was happening. Although we did not really enjoy the ending.
I really loved the book, love the idea of the comic layout. However the ‘to be continued’ ending disappointed me, apart from that I love the book and totally recommend. But also on the note of the ‘to be continued’ it is hard for Joe brady the illustrator to produce so much pictures and illustrations so that’s why Part 2 has not came out yet.
I really enjoyed No Country, I don’t usually enjoy reading that much but this got me hooked. I found it really interesting because it is about war and things that have really happened. It is a graphic novel which is really cool and it doesn’t take ages to read. The pictures help to tell the story and there are lots of hidden clues in them.
This book is great. I would highly recommend it a lot. its good if you don’t like long books with no pictures.
It was a lovely book, but it was very sad how the Free Kingdom soldiers were raiding everything. On the other hand, the ending was not what we expected, but the people who love cliff hangers will love this graphic novel.
I would recommend this book to age 10+ it is sad but enjoyable to read. The Author has done an amazing job and is an easy to follow but has a very serious message which made me think hard about being In the situation of the characters and what it would be like to experience that.
I would definitely recommend it. It’s a sad story but Year 5 and 6 can handle it. It’s an amazing story, it’s believable and I love how they put ‘to be continued….’ at the end”
