Mo O’Hara explores how to look at well-known myths, folk or fairy tale characters, settings and plots as a jumping-off point for a fresh new story.  With tons of activities and tips and of course your own question and answer session.

Using Rock Bottom as a reference, Ross Montgomery explores the whole process for creating and developing a story.  With lots of activities and readings and your own question and answer session.

Class 3 – Years 5 & 6 Workshop

Here Emma Carroll encourages children to go on a writing adventure by creating heroes and villains, planning their journeys, drawing maps and plotting their own epic, magical stories. Focusing specifically on The Somerset Tsunami, she discusses and shares tips on writing historical adventures based on true stories/events.  At the end, Emma answers some of the questions that you sent in.

Bookfest spent an amazing morning yesterday at Gre Bookfest spent an amazing morning yesterday at Greenfields Primary School with Beech, Poplar and Oak classes who with their fantastic teachers have taken the Readers to Writers 2023 project to the maximum by producing some wonderful creative writing. The freedom they've been given to let their imaginations fly is producing results that are taking their teachers by surprise. Good luck everyone and huge congratulations on becoming AUTHORS!
