We’re inviting all primary schools in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin to sign up for our exciting Readers to Writers creative writing project.

Over the next few weeks and months, every child taking part will have the chance work with a top UK children’s author.

First they’ll get copies of their books to read…

…Then they’ll get to meet their author in their classroom and take part in a fun writing workshop full of ideas and top tips…

….And finally they’ll have the chance to write and illustrate their very own books…

Everyone’s book will be read by the Bookfest Reading Panel – and everyone will get a special message and a certificate congratulating them on BECOMING AN AUTHOR!

And for children whose books especially wow the Reading Panel, there’ll be the added excitement of having their books published on this website – and maybe even read aloud by one of the Readers to Writers authors!
